March 8 is also International Women's Day. Did you know that the first International Women's Day was in 1911, and that the 2024 official colour is purple? So for Song Circle, bring a song to share that fits the theme and celebrates women! 

If you have a song you would like to perform on stage during the Open Mic segment, please sign up at the door.  Any rousing women's march songs you want to share?
In recognition of International Women's Day, our Featured acts this month showcases some of the strong women you know in our community Michelle Nesbit, Theresa Mohr, Norma Stokes, and Emma Widen. They will each do their own set and then who knows what else might happen!  Come join us to hear these powerful voices.

 

The format for the coffeehouses will be…

6:30-7:30, Song Circle Jam

(People bring instruments and share a song in a casual circle setting… kind of like a campfire without the fire)

Break (to re-arrange the chairs)

7:45: Featured Artist/ Group - This month we are featuing Michelle Nesbit, Theresa Mohr, Norma Stokes, and Emma Widen.

Break (with treats and snacks)

Open Mic

(10 minute sets to finish up the evening)

Coffeehouses will be held the second Friday of each month starting on October 13th. Please spread the word as we hope to get full houses for the jam as well as the performances.
