Posting Criteria
Smithers Events is a free service intended primarily for use by community event organizers. It is not intended for events primarily promoting a business or service. That being said we understand and value the contributions businesses make to hosting and sponsoring special events. An example of an acceptable business event would be the McBike Mothers Day Run. This is a special event branded by and hosted by a local business, but it is primarily a community event. An example of an unacceptable business use would be advertising a special sale or promotion.
In the future we may offer paid advertising; however, we do not currently. You may contact us at events@smithersevents.com if you would like to approach us with an advertising idea.
All postings are subject to our approval and we reserve the right to refuse to post any event without notification. We reserve the right to edit any submitted information for clarity, brevity, grammatical correctness or any other reason we deem appropriate. We may also alter or create poster files to better fit the size requirements of our display boards. We may remove sponsor logos or other information to accomplish this task.
Smithers Events' partner organizations have different criteria which they use to decide which events will appear on their websites or physical locations. We do not guarantee your post will be displayed with any of our partners.
Smithers Events assumes no liability for the accuracy of information posted by ourselves or others on this site.
By using this site you agree to indemnify Smithers Events, Coffee Web Development, Phil Brienesse and its respective employees, agents, and representatives, and to hold them harmless, from any and all claims and liabilities (including attorneys' fees) which may arise from your submissions, from your unauthorized use of materials obtained through the Site, or from your breach of the terms of this Agreement. You further agree that Smithers Events is not responsible, and shall have no liability to you, with respect to any material posted by others.
