There are all kinds of events websites out there. So why another?
Many events websites are not focused on Smithers and Telkwa area. Here you will only find local events. We like to keep it simple.
Many websites featuring things to do in the Smithers area are poorly maintained. The events may not be up to date or some events are missing. Smithers Events is locally built and maintained. We actively go out and look for event posters on bulletin boards, store windows and from our partners: Tourism Smithers, Smithers Visitor Info Centre and Bugwood Bean.
Physical presence. The internet is great but some people just like a physical poster. Smithers Events is more than a website. We have physical locations around town like our virtual poster screen at Bugwood Bean or our Interactive Kiosk at the Visitor Info Centre.
Partnerships. We are all about partnerships. When your Smithers or Telkwa event is posted here it is displayed on the Tourism Smithers Website, Bugwood Bean Website and Virtual Poster Screen, and the our Interactive Kiosk at the Smithers Visitor Info Centre. Plus we are bringing on more partners all the time.
Centralized. We want to be your one stop events shop. Post your event here and it will be cross posted in numerous places. If you are an event co-ordinator or promoter this is the single best feature of Smithers Events. Grow your audience in one easy step.
So how can you take advantage of this service?
If you are an event promoter, co-ordinator or volunteer, SUBMIT YOUR EVENT ON SMITHERS EVENTS we will take care of the rest.
If you have a website and would like a page of local Smithers and Area events on it but don't want to maintain the page, contact us to be a partner. We can stream an events feed right into your website and take out all of the work.
