Midsummer Festival, the volunteer organizers, and the whole Bulkley Valley Folk Music Society are once again thrilled to invite you to a weekend of fantastic and diverse musical experiences featuring performers from Northwest BC, and all over Canada. Last year we celebrated 40 years of Midsummer Festival, which was a testament to the combined power of music and volunteerism found here in the Bulkley Valley. As we kick off the next 40 years of Midsummer Festival, we hope that you, your friends, and family will find as much love, enjoyment, and community as this festival has provided for multiple generations of folks in the valley.

See you there!

All Genres, Always A Mix

The Festival embraces all genres of music, hosting an eclectic mix of musicians performing on one of four stages. We are fortunate to have world-class artists headline the festival every year. In addition to our headliners, Midsummer showcases dozens of talented local and regional performers, discovering fresh new music in the valley. The festival also includes a variety of interactive workshops put together by the musicians. There are several Jam Zones, so go ahead and bring your instruments! We also offer exciting and entertaining activities for children, including crafts, games, as well as the children’s stage.

Family Positive > all ages welcome

The Festival features a fabulous family area that has a reputation for being interactive for parents and their children; it is a festival in itself. Some of the exciting things you can find within the family zone include arts and crafts, a feature puppet show (not to be missed), face painting, dress-up treasures, a rope maze, music, dancing, and a quiet play area.

100% Volunteer Powered

The festival would not be possible without the generous time and skills offered by our volunteers. We are always looking for people who want to help! If you are interested in making Midsummer a success, we would be lucky to have you. Four hours of volunteering will get you a day pass, 12 hours a weekend pass, and at 24 hours, you will be given a weekend pass with meals provided.
