Author Presentation with Liz Levine | Tuesday, Nov 9th @ 7pm via Zoom
Join Smithers Public Library and the BC and Yukon Book Prizes on Tuesday, November 9th from 7-8 pm on Zoom for an author presentation with Liz Levine. Levine’s memoir Nobody Ever Talks About Anything But the End is a finalist for the 2021 Hubert Evans Nonfiction Prize. Liz weaves the story of what happened to her sister Tamara with another significant death—that of Liz’s childhood love, Judson, to cancer. With honesty, Liz exposes the raw truths about grief and mourning that we often shy away from—and almost never share with others. And she reveals how, in the midst of death, life—with all its messy complications—must also be celebrated.
